1. What we collect
When you use SweetClarity we collect the data you give us and the data we need to run the service:
- Account info — name, email, and profile image, provided through our authentication partner Clerk.
- Decision content — the topics, prompts, and messages you send in order to receive AI-generated analysis. This includes the structured results returned by the model.
- Usage data — credit balances, subscription status, and minimal request metadata (timestamps, error events) used to operate the service.
- Billing data — handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we only keep customer/subscription identifiers and event references.
2. How we use it
- To run the product — show your topics, stream model responses, debit credits.
- To process payments and apply subscription benefits or credit packs.
- To prevent abuse and respond to security issues.
- To send essential service emails (sign-in, billing, account changes).
We do not sell your data, and we do not use your decision content for advertising.
3. Third parties we rely on
- Clerk — authentication and session management.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Anthropic — large language model that generates the decision analysis you receive. Your prompts are sent to Anthropic to produce the response.
- DigitalOcean / Cloudflare — hosting and edge networking.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy. We send only what is needed for them to do their job.
4. Retention
Your topics and messages stay in your account until you delete them or close the account. Billing records are retained as long as required by law (typically up to 7 years). Authentication records are retained by Clerk per their terms.
5. Your rights
You can access, export, or delete your data at any time. Email [email protected] and we'll handle the request within 30 days. Closing your account removes your topics and messages from our active database; backups roll off within 30 days.
6. Children
SweetClarity is not intended for users under 16. Don't sign up if you are below the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction.
7. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced via email or an in-app notice before they take effect. The current version is always available at this URL.
